This notice explains how High Wycombe Taxis Limited (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal information when you book a journey, contact us or use this website.
Who we are
High Wycombe Taxis Limited is the data controller for the information described here. We are registered in England & Wales, company number 16848594. Registered office: 46 Highwood Avenue, High Wycombe, England, HP12 4LS.

What we collect
- Booking details – your name, phone number, email address, pickup and drop-off addresses, dates and times, number of passengers, flight details and any notes you give us (for example a request for a female driver).
- Enquiries – what you send through our contact form, by email, by phone or on WhatsApp.
- Journey records – the details of journeys we carry out, including the driver and vehicle allocated, which our private hire operator licence requires us to keep.
- Information about passengers you book for – for school runs or when you book for someone else, such as a child’s name and school, or an older relative’s pickup address. Please only give us what is needed for the journey.
- Health or access information – only if you choose to tell us, for example that a passenger needs help getting into the car or is travelling to a hospital appointment. We use it only to arrange the journey.
- Website data – if you accept analytics or marketing cookies, Google Analytics and Google Ads collect information about how you use the site. See our Cookie Policy.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- To take, confirm and carry out your booking, and to contact you about it – performance of a contract.
- To keep the booking and journey records required by our private hire licence and by tax law – legal obligation.
- To answer enquiries, deal with complaints and lost property, and keep passengers and drivers safe – legitimate interests.
- To measure website use and the performance of our adverts – consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the cookie settings on this site.
Who we share it with
- The driver allocated to your journey, who receives the details needed to collect you.
- Companies that provide our booking, phone, email and website hosting services, under contract and only on our instructions.
- Card payment providers, if you pay by card.
- Google, for analytics and advertising measurement, only if you consent to those cookies. Google may process data outside the UK under recognised safeguards.
- The licensing authority, the police or other public bodies when the law requires it.
We never sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and journey records for as long as our licence conditions and UK tax law require, and accounting records for up to six years. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted when no longer needed. Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics settings.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, ask for it to be transferred, and withdraw consent at any time. Email info@highwycombetaxi.co.uk and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
We will update this notice if the way we use personal information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
